Rector of the UCI integrates the Cuban delegation that participates in the Cuba-Romania Meeting of Rectors

The Cuba-Romania Rectors' Meeting takes place from June 5 to 12, 2022 in Romania. The Cuban delegation is made up of 12 rectors from prestigious universities in the country and is headed by Dr.C. José Ramón Saborido, Minister of Higher Education.

Our rector, Dr.C. Raydel Montesino Perurena, is part of the Cuban delegation that is planning a visit to the Ministry of Education in Romania, and the signing of several collaboration agreements with universities in that country.

As part of the first day, the Rector of the UCI signed two collaboration agreements, one with the University of Western Romania and the other with the Universitatea Dunărea de Jos” din Galați, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education.

During their stay in Romania, the Cuban rectors will visit universities in Bucharest, Brasov and Targu Mures, hold meetings and exchanges with personalities from higher education in that country, visit sites of historical and cultural interest and sign collaboration mechanisms.

The main moment of the visit is the signing by the two ministers of the Cooperation Program in the field of education between Romania and Cuba.

After the participation of the Romanian rectors, in the 2022 University Congress (Havana, February 2022) in which 18 cooperation agreements were signed, the educational component of the Romania-Cuba bilateral relationship is progressing successfully.
