There have been multiple factors that gave rise to and subsequent expansion of distance education. In this sense, this document contains the foundations and principles by which the Distance Education Model is governed.
The system for the management of educational content, the guidelines for the design of distance courses in virtual environments and the guidelines for the design of the study guide, are the essential issues that are addressed in this document as a methodological reference for the implementation of the technological support that sustains the new Distance Education Model of Cuban Higher Education.
This document presents a set of reference indicators for the implementation of the Distance Education Model of Cuban Higher Education in undergraduate careers and postgraduate programs, to contribute to the continuous training of professions.
